Compressor need to be installed in a clean, dry & well ventilated room. A separate room with levelled floor is most preferable for Air Compressor & accessories, away from the shop floor with ease of access for maintenance.
After Cooler: ( Air Cooled & Water Cooled)
After Coolers are heat exchangers for cooling the discharge from air compressor. They use either air or water and are an effective means of removing moisture from compressed air.
Aftercoolers control the amount of water vapor in a compressed air system by condensing the water vapor into liquid form. In a distribution or process manufacturing system, liquid water can cause significant damage to the equipment that uses compressed air.
An aftercooler is necessary to ensure the proper functionality of pneumatic or air handling devices that are a part of process manufacturing systems. Aftercoolers can use either air-cooled or water-cooled mechanisms.
Auto Drain Valves:
Drain valves are a crucial part of the compressed air system. Condensate drain valves remove condensate from the air system without losing excessive compressed air and without shutting down the system. Condensate can have harmful effects on a system when not removed. For instance, moisture can wash lubrication from air tools and production equipment causing downtime and maintenance.
Generally two types of Auto Drain Valves can be used
- Timer Controlled Auto Drain Valve
- Float Type Auto Drain Valve

Mechanical Moisture Separator: Moist air from compressor outlet enters a closed MS chamber in a guided cyclonic motion ( due to baffle plates fixed at various angles) which allows the moisture to get separated from the Compressed Air . The moisture free Compressed Air then comes out of an inner pipe fittet with SS mesh which is basically free from physical moisture (upto 90%) & free from solid particles. Moisture gets collected at the bottom of the vessel which need to drained properly.
Pre-Filter (Genral Purpose Filter):
Leintz Pre-Filter is placed on the air line just prior to the Air Dryer. Pre-Filter assembly is a general purpose filter which removes particles of upto 3micron from air before entering the Dryer.

- Refrigerent Type
- Regenerative Type Desiccant Air Dryer
Refrigerent Type :
The refrigerant type dryer is more widely used & accepted for most of the general industrial plant air applications. It operates on domestic refrigeration principle. The compressed air is cooled in an air-to-refrigerant heat exchanger to about 2°C, at which point the condensed moisture is separated and drained off. The air is then reheated and let out of Dryer at almost the incoming temperature itself.

Regenerative Type Desiccant Air Dryer:
Regenerative desiccant dryers normally are of twin tower construction resembling two vertical receivers with inter-connecting piping. One tower dries the air from the compressor while the desiccant in the other tower is being regenerated.

Leintz coalescing Fine-filter assembly removes oil, particles and moisture from air.
Fine-filter is designed for filtration of particles down to 0.1 micron, liquid and oil included. Maximum contents of residual oil 0.1 mg/m3.
Leintz coalescing Superfine-filter assemblies capture the fine particles coming off the fine filter before entering the main application line.
Superfine-filter is designed for residual oil filtration up to 0.01 micron. These are 99.9% efficiency and are considered technically oil-free.

Air Receiver :
Leintz offers Vertical Air Receiver suitable for a working pressure of 14.0 Kg./cm2, conforming to IS:2825/ASME Sec. VIII, complete with welded supporting stand, inspection opening with cover, IN/OUT flanged connections with companion flanges along with standard accessories viz.
